The Second Chance Academy Workforce Reentry Program helps people rejoin the workforce after incarceration. It led the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government’s WORK-Lexington Program in partnership with the Fayette County Detention Center and Jubilee Jobs of Lexington. The program serves individuals with six months or less remaining on their sentence, helping them get ready to return to both work and everyday life. Participants complete a structured seven-week course that focuses on building life and job skills, while also receiving personalized support. After their release, they continue to get at least one year of individualized assistance to help them find and keep a job, avoid returning to jail and successfully transition back into the community with confidence.
